I discovered your existence through, of all things, robont's 12 Babes of Christmas thing. Interestingly enough, I've visited dozens of journals after seeing an arresting picture there, but only once or twice have I added one to my watchlist till now. I thought I'd make an exception here, if you don't mind, because you appear to be that rarity: a well-written Livejournaler who seems to have interesting things to say.
(The lovely pictures of you here there and everywhere are just a pleasant bonus. Really).
Also, because you created this entry with poetry in mind, I'll reply in kind:
Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach? I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach. I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.
I do not think that they will sing to me.
I have seen them riding seaward on the waves Combing the white hair of the waves blown back When the wind blows the water white and black.
We have lingered in the chambers of the sea By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown Till human voices wake us, and we drown. -- T.S. Eliot
