Okay. This is going to sound really weird.
Date: 2005-09-23 03:42 am (UTC)I saw your user icon in a comment at
Well, it obviously isn't; and after looking at some of your other pictures, it seems we don't look much alike after all. But that was a freaky moment.
You seem like an interesting person, and we do share some interests. Plus our birthdays are four days apart, so we've got that in common too.
I don't usually friend people randomly, but you're interesting and I'd like to add you. If you'd rather not add me back, that's fine too.

Date: 2005-10-11 05:04 am (UTC)1, I read your comment about winters in western PA, and having spent time growing up in Ridgway, remember what they are like
2, Robert Frost wrote one of my favorite poems
3, While my LJ is a boring repository for my thoughts, yours looks as if you write really good things -- so I'm adding you and asking if you'll add me back. I love reading good snippets.

Date: 2005-10-11 05:35 am (UTC)"Stopping by woods on a snowy evening"
That poem gives the nice imagery of just how peaceful a small town's snow actually is.

Date: 2005-10-17 02:29 am (UTC)Without looking at the hundred of other comments to your posting, but after reading your info I have added you. A set of steak knives is not included.
However I have a questioning nature, an unruly searching gene deep in my psyche which refuses to stop looking. probably be better if it did - but the answer to EVERYTHING if it is not 42 seems to be as easy to catch as a slippery strand of spagetti which ahs mated with a very cunning weasel. ~cough~ Errr perhaps I wander a bit.
Anyhow looks like you have many friends already, but one more should break the camel's.....or perhaps one more would NOT break the ferret's back...

Date: 2005-10-17 03:45 am (UTC)What's wrong with being questioning? I'd be a little wary of people who DON'T ask questions, who are never curious.

Date: 2005-10-27 05:03 am (UTC)(The lovely pictures of you here there and everywhere are just a pleasant bonus. Really).
Also, because you created this entry with poetry in mind, I'll reply in kind:
Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach?
I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.
I do not think that they will sing to me.
I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.
We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.
-- T.S. Eliot
cheers,
Phil

Date: 2005-11-04 04:38 pm (UTC)Hola - one common friend, three (un)common interests. Trying to stock my friends list with thinkers and weed out the perpetually distraught navel gazers. Mind if I add you?
Peace
